In British Columbia, immigration candidates are able to move through the system more quickly when employed in or offered employment in any of 32 identified in-demand technology careers, as allowed by the BC PNP Tech Pilot program. Each week, invitations are sent by the program to candidates in the following occupation categories in the B.C. technology sector:
- Skilled Workers
- Health Care Professionals
- International Graduates
- International Post-Graduates
- Entry Level Workers
Those invited are selected by draw from a pool of qualified candidates. Candidates who are selected will still need to meet the basic requirements of every British Columbia immigration category, and be employed by or have a job offer from an eligible employer
As part of the BC PNP Tech pilot, technology employers receive access to a concierge service that provides them with a streamlined application process for employees and potential employees in one of the outlined occupations with guaranteed next business day processing.
